Kamux took car sales to new heights—an advertising campaign in gondola lifts


Fabrik created a distinctive and eye-catching advertising campaign for Kamux that literally took the car dealership to new heights on the gondola lifts in Ruka and Ylläs. The campaign, carried out in collaboration with Mediateo, brought Kamux a great deal of visibility and stood out for its innovative approach.

A Unique Car-Shopping Experience in Gondola Lifts

What do you get when you combine the country’s most convenient and seamless car dealership with the most fun way to spend your free time on a slope—namely, downhill skiing? Of course, the world’s fastest car dealership, which Kamux launched at the Ruka and Ylläs gondola lifts in collaboration with Mediateo. Fabrik was responsible for the campaign’s concept, visual identity, marketing, and communications execution.

The three gondola cabins were given Kamux’s distinctive green look, and the campaign’s clear message told skiers that buying a car is quick and easy—even during a gondola ride—through Kamux’s website. This eye-catching campaign boosted Kamux’s visibility and encouraged customers to explore the company’s online selection of cars.

The advertising campaign gained visibility on the slopes of ski resorts and on Mediateo’s digital screens throughout Finland, and Kamux was prominently featured—in a way that fit the theme—at other ski resorts as well. The campaign effectively reached thousands of potential customers right where they naturally spent their time and actively encouraged them to explore Kamux’s offerings on its website.

Thanks to the campaign, Kamux’s brand awareness grew significantly, which was also clearly reflected in the number of inquiries and the interest in the company’s services. Even though no car purchases were made during the lift ride, skiers were reminded of the opportunities available at the end of the day with the message:“Get an ‘autoski’ for your après-ski!”
